They could do something similar with bots, honestly.
Everyone who could be punished for it can't hide it right now and they got the time to handle to issue. It was used to upload porn gifs or whatever and they froze the feature. It's honestly kind of a joke that they don't have any temporary solution to that. They steal away whole channels currently, they make people boycott pvp. The bots aren't handled in time, so they end up dictating the economy. I'd like to believe that they actually are working towards solving the issue in the future and stuff, but the issue is in present. I wouldn't call bullshit on everything they say they're doing against bots. What bothers me the most is the fact that they're not taking temporary actions against bots. I didn't say that they should get rid of good rewards from OW stuff, I mostly was talking about how this is what leads to all the bots being there or being profitable.īind on pickup or something similar surely works, but honestly, it's just that the way the game is designed, many rewards are in the open world, so they have to be prepared for the bot wave. I realize this is long, there's a few changes that could completely remove bots, but might seriously hurt the community of the game. I've ran into people who have done the 4 man's over 350 times and are not maxed gear with putting $0 dollars into the game. This change would also require a change to item drop rates / quantity dropped. Or personal loot, but this would hurt the community.
Making everything BOP would encourage people to join clans, but would force people to play on a schedule with friends to maximize their ability to get drops. As you said, you can make open world less appealing, but I don't think this is a good move either as some of the magic/attraction of the game is its ghs/SSP/farming random world mobs. Honestly, I'm not really in favor of these changes.
