While still holding down the mouse button and scrolling down, some pages will show up. Like I mentioned above, the strange thing is that I can drag on the scroll slider to scroll down. I have tried right-clicking on the images and selecting the "View Original Printout" option and I get a message: "The embedded file cannot be found. I also tried to remove the cache folder and it did not correct the problem. No, I do not see the Red X's when I view from the OneNote online app. Are there any patches or fixes coming out to resolve this? This appears to be a bug with Office 2016 Full Version for Windows.
I then tried the Windows App Store version of OneNote on the same Windows machines and it displays fine with annotations. I performed a fresh install of Office for Windows on another Windows machine and opened the note from OneDrive. Once I let go of the mouse, the pages are blank, white pages with red X's.
Here is the strange part.if I drag the scroll bar handle and scroll down, the pages appear. It still shows up fine on all Apple devicesīut now I just get red X's on all of the printout images in Windows. I then did some annotation on the note on my iPad.
It synced via OneDrive just fine and I was able to see on all devices. I created a note from a PDF and inserted it as a printout on Windows. I use OneNote 2016 as part of the Microsoft Office 2016 Plus package on my Windows machine as well as on several Apple devices like Mac, iPad, and iPhone.
